Job Description

Your primary responsibilities, which include but are not limited to, are as follows:

MERCHANDISING, DISPLAY & STORE APPEARANCE:
  • Ensure store appearance reflects the highest standards of the DKNY FSS concept.
  • Merchandise must be tidy, sized, colour-blocked, placed in defined sections etc.
  • Ensure displays are attractive and presentable at all times.
  • Successfully execute merchandising flips, window changes, and the dressing and styling of mannequins.
  • Refer to DKNY Merchandising Manuals for direction for mannequin looks, section merchandising etc.
  • Continue learning and practicing new merchandising techniques (take ideas from magazines, other stores, internet, etc). Demonstrate continual growth as a merchandiser.
CONTRIBUTE TO THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:

Ensure each customer who enters the store has a pleasant and memorable experience. Acknowledge each client who enters the store in a friendly, genuine way. Deal with customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and polite manner that reflects the utmost in customer service and the DKNY brand. Be available to help any client who needs assistant and work to pass on clients to available sales associates.

STORE OPERATIONS:

Comply with all store operation policy and procedures.

COORDINATION OF MERCHANDISE:

When merchandising, ensure you have good knowledge of what inventory we have in stockroom and in the warehouse. Move merchandise around to support the execution of and presentation of markdowns.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:

Responsible for knowing products and trends prior to each season. Knowledge of fabric type and care. Knowledge and understanding of present and history of DKNY and Donna Karan. Maintain a keen interest in the fashion industry and market trends.

MONTHLY GOALS:

Successfully maintain excellent merchandise presentation standards to help the team achieve store goals.

QUALITY CONTROL:

Examine new arrivals and report defects immediately to warehouse.

LOSS PREVENTION & SECURITY:

Practice all methods of loss preventions help minimize shrink. Eg. Staff Bag checks, security tag audit, bag cable audit.

PROFESSIONAL IMAGE:

Ensure personal image, dress, and grooming are professional and reflective of the brand.

TEAMWORK:

Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance. Be flexible to relieve other shifts or react to staff absenteeism when required.
