Prints, Patterns and Fun!

Posted on: May 16th, 2012 by enda b

Make a statement this season and jazz up your wardrobe with some fun prints and patterns.  Whether it’s head to toe or just your shoes, wearing prints will bring your look into one of the hottest trends this season!  Look for colourful florals, geometric patterns and unique stripes and have fun!

DKNY Harper Print Shoe - $235

Happy Feet

The quickest way to get on the band wagon is to grab an awesome pair of printed shoes!  One of my favourite printed shoes this season has got to be the  DKNY Harper Printed Pump for $235.  It comes in a super fun hot pink colour scheme and also a toned down nude look.  Just throw on some skinny jeans and a top with some matching hues and you’re good to go!

DKNY Runway Woven Clutch $318

Ride the Clutch

Take it to the next level and accent your look with this gorgeous clutch featured on the runways of New York.  It’s DKNY’s Runway Geometry Woven Wrap Clutch for $ 318.  Although its not printed, you still get that geometric pattern with the tri-coloured woven leather.  If you really wanna strut your stuff sport it with your hand placed through as shown above.  Pick out a colour from the pattern and match that with a solid top or dress and your set for sunday brunch with the girls.

Ella Moss Sandstone Stripe Deep V $140

Stripe It Up

This season you’ll see alot of unique striping out there.  Whether its un-even, coming in at every direction or appear soft and handbrushed you can find a stripe that suits you perfectly!  One of the most beautiful stripes I’ve seen so far is Ella Moss’ Sandstone Stripe Deep V top $140.00. The stripes are all different shades of pinks and blues and have that lovely handbrushed look. The diagonals make for a more figure flattering design.   I see this worn with solid white capris, large hooped earrings and flip flops.

DKNY Silk Floral Dress $375

Flirty Floral

Of course we need a gorgeous floral print in the mix and DKNY’s Lizzy Border Silk Floral Dress for $ 375 fits the bill perfectly.  It works well for a more busty gal who wants to draw some attention towards her other lovely assets;)  What I really like about this dress are the pockets and the drawstring!  They bring are casual feel to an otherwise dressy look.

Tilo Hand Dyed Ombre Scarve $150

Subtle Accents

If you can’t muster up the courage for full on prints and patterns then look for one of these timeless beauties.  Tilo’s Silky Gauze Ombre Hand Dyed Scarves for $150.  There are a few colour combinations to choose from.  Soft orange or grey tones.  For a little fun go for the Leopard print.  Wear on a breezy day with a light jacket or loosely tie on one of your favourite large bags to refresh your look.

Spring Shoes!

Posted on: March 6th, 2012 by admin No Comments

Need a quick update for Spring? Why not pick up a shiny new pair of shoes? No, let’ s make that 3 pairs of shoes! One for work, one for fun and one for those casual days. Wait, this is Vancouver. You’ll need a rain boot too;)

I’m know being delusional here but I’d like to imagine all you ladies out there heading out to work dressed up in a beautifully tailored blazer, fitted skirt and a pair of really hot pumps! If you don’t fit into my presumptuous vision don’t worry, these shoes also fit in the “fun” category. My pick for your perfect work shoe is the Michael Kors Flex Open Toe Hidden Platform Pump for only $138. It comes in Black and Nude. If you don’t own a pair of Nude shoes, get one! They elongate the leg and will go with almost anything in your wardrobe. The best thing about this shoe is you get 3″ of height but only 1″ of incline. Nice!

My next pick is our fun shoe, yay!! This shoe is for all you ladies that want to have fun but with absolute comfort. It’s Friday night, you spent all week on your feet, give yourself a break and slip on Cole Haan’s Air Juliana’s for $165. Wear it with a skinny jean and a silky top. They come in a really fun Rock Candy colour. The secret to the comfort is the concealed NIKE AIR Technology.

Alright, like I said ladies, this is Vancouver. It rains. It rains often. Do yourself a favour and get the cutest most stylish little rain boot from DKNY, the Jetway Lace-up Rain Boot for only $105. It comes in Black and Shock Pink. Looks adorable with tights, short skirt and a cropped jacket.

Lastly, we have my favourite pick of the bunch. It’s our casual shoe which of course has got to be a fun pick too! Stuart Weitzman’s TooGood Espadrilles for $415. Too good indeed, we love this shoe! Wear it with a floral printed dress and some chunky accessories and your ready for a nice stroll on a sunny, spring day. Make it fun with a skinny pant, dressy top and large earrings. Espadrilles will be hot this season but most wont compare to the quality and beautiful detail of this particular shoe. If you think its too soon for espadrilles, get them now, wear them later. You’ll thank me when that gorgeous day appears out of nowhere in a month or so and we’re completely sold out of this shoe!
